The choice point

An opportunity for a different outcome

When we get an urge, we have a choice of how to respond. For many of us, that means deciding to act on the urge or not. Binging means eating large quantities of food over a short period of time. Purging means compensating for what you’ve eaten by trying to get rid of the calories (e.g., vomiting). Restricting means purposefully eating less than your body needs to control weight. As learned earlier, many people have urges related to all three.
